Honestly, I am not an observant person. When I look at the list of symptoms for hypothyroid, it is me to a T. I tend to think my TSH levels have not been good for a long enough period of time for me to notice a big difference. My biggest concerns are my excessive amounts of anxiety, and mood swings (my poor husband and daughter). Then again, I don't think I have normal energy levels, hair loss is a problem, losing weight is so hard...
It could be that your thyroid is slowly losing all function, and that you have had to increase the dose over time in order to compensate. Just a theory! As someone with no thyroid (TT in July '06), I am on .137mcg. But how do you FEEL with a TSH of 4.1? When my TSH was 3.88, I felt the same as I did when it was 2.88.
