TSH is 3rd generation

Hello, i just received by blood test results today.  I am confused as to what this means.
0.882                  0.3-4.5  uIU/ML
TSH IS 3RD GENERATION

I go to the doctor tomorrow am and would like to be informed as to what that means.
I have had many TSH test for many, many years but i am always told i was normal.
Now I have almost every symptom i've ever seen.  It has gotten much worse in the last
six months.  What a horrible way to live.

3rd Generation I think is the most up to date and mos sensitive TSH test.

hi,

this tsh look good and normal.  however tsh is not a very good test for thyroid function.  particularly as you appear to be symptomatic.

have they ever tested ft3 and ft4.  these can be abnormal in secondary hypothyroid.

request ft3 and ft4, and also test of thyroid antibodies.
