TSH level

TSH level

Hi - I'm new here.  Has anyone had experience with this type of issue?  On 2/19 I went for a routine CBC.  The results showed my hemoglobin slightly low (11.3) and hematocrit slightly low (33.7), and I had a normal TSH level (2.4).  Also, my LDL was slightly high (111).  Three weeks later I had another CBC to evaluate the slight anemia.  My hemoglobin and hematocrit were even lower this time (10.7 and 31.1), but my TSH was up to 6.0.  My RBC was also low on this test (3.6).  Can there be such a large difference in TSH levels in just a three-week time period?  I fasted before both tests, if that makes any difference.  Thanks.

Hi Sharon and welcome!
I would suggest waiting and retesting the tsh again in near future. Yes tsh can fluctuate, but for specific reasons if it jumped to a 6.0. I would ask to be tested for Hashimoto's Thyroid autoimmune disease. This can cause fluctuations in levels and needs to be addressed if you have it. Let us know how you do.
