I have been diagnosed with a underactive thyroid and I am also ttc.
My latest blood test showed that my tshPituitary and tsh Tsh is 6.6.
My thyroxine has been increased from 50mg to 75mg and I am due for another blood test in 6 weeks to check levels again.
I have heard that a underactive thyroid can cause problems with the development of the baby do you think I need to wait or do you think I am okay to continue ttc with these levels.
Having an underactive thyroid could hamper chances of conceiving but I would think it would be more overt hyperthyroidism where TSH is really high, with that said, I am not a doctor.
So! You should get your TSH at least within your Labs reference range and stable before you get pregnant, during and after. Once pregnant you should be tested every trimester, especially the first trimester, because level will or might change and you'd want to readjust meds dose accordingly.
Good luck
