I don't know?????? This is the information on the lab work.
I understand that your Free T4 is 0.86 - that is the result; what is the reference range listed on your lab report? This is usually just to the right of the result.
Being hypothyroid CAN have an effect on cholesterol. My cholesterol goes up and down with my thyroid levels - thyroid levels go down, cholesterol goes up; thyroid levels go up, cholesterol goes down.
You also need a Free T3 test; that is the active thyroid hormone and is most responsible for how you feel.
It's easy for doctors to tell us to work out - but I agree working all day leaves one very tired and with little energy. Meat department? Wow, that would wear me out.
hey, is the cholesterol have a effect on this also my Cholesterol is 189 and triglycerides are 238 and HDL is low 38 and LDL is 103H and VLDL 47.6H
I've been feeling dizzy and fuzzy tried alot and gaining weight..does all have to do will this??? the doctors say i need to work out but working in the meat department 9 hours a day 40 hours a week is alot a women to handle...i'm tied by the time i get home.
What is the range for the FT4? Your result seems low, but the range must come from your own lab report.
I;m sorry No i am not on meds.
yes i was having problems several years ago and then the doctor said i was normal and now it came back at 4.126 tsh and i told know what to do???
As Stella said, the TSH range has been revised and is 0.3-3.0; however, a lot of labs (and doctors) don't go by that. For the FT4, you need to go by the reference ranges listed on your lab report. Do you have a copy of the report? If not, you should get one for your records.
I see by your profile page, that you have had thyroid issues in the past; what type? Are you currently on any thyroid med?
Were do we get a new chart? Help me please!
an Old Chart does nothing for you.
The TSH is revised and is now ranged at .3-3.0.
Your testing shows low function and could be a result of hypothyroidism
