Hi everyone,
I've switched to Erfa today from taking 150 mcg of Levothyroxine.
This may be a stupid question, but do I still need to wait to eat even if I take the ERFA sublingually? I would hazard a guess that the reason why I have to wait to eat when taking Levothyroxine is to ensure that my stomach is empty to ensure better absorption of the medicine, but since I take the ERFA sublingually and thus it doesn't enter my stomach, I don't need to wait.
Can you confirm this for me?
I've also started taking 1 grain, split in two, once in the morning and once in the evening. I'm not yet sure what my final dose will be but to start, it's 1 grain for the first two weeks and then we will re-assess.
Thoughts welcomed!
Thanks,
Samantha
