Am so sorry you are having so much trouble with all this and feeling bad. Sounds like you feel really hopeless and I understand that feeling all too well. Took me well over 7 years to find the light at the end of the tunnel with thyroid issues. But mine was b/c I wasn't being medicated right and don't want you to have to go through that.
Have never heard a dr recommend taking it at night. Originally I was told to wait 30 minutes after taking it to eat, but now I know the standard is to take it on an empty stomach, 4 hours after eating last, and then wait 1 hour before you eat.
I know this is a lot of questions but am not familiar with your case and we need lots of info to try and help you. So if you could post all of this we could better understand what is going on.
My prescription comes from the pharmacy with a "Take in the Morning" sticker on it. Must be a reason, but since I always take it early in the morning I have never questioned it. Most days, it is 2 hours or more before I eat. I have heard others try to take it at night like Venora, and then have problems sleeping.
Hope you hit on something that works for you soon.
My TSH is 27 and has gone up every 3 months since Jan. when it was at 7. My labs results in January showed a high glycemic index but don't have the paperwork with me to get the exact number. Also, I have sleep apnea so hopefully taking at night will not keep me awake because I have suffered from insomnia in the past and had to take Ambian for it....

Can you list your levels and reference ranges? Why does he think you are having problems with your blood sugar? Does your endo specialize in thyroid problems, or does he deal mostly with diabetics? Sound to me like he takes care of lots of diabetics to just to your blood sugar so fast unless there are other symptoms to lead him to this. What are a list of symptoms you are still having?

Hang in there, I promise it will get better.
