Thryoid Cyst / nodule

I was hit in the throat and had to have a cat scan.  The scan showed a "nodule" on my left thyroid and I was told to follow up with my PCP.  He ordered an Ultra soud that showed:  "the left lobe of the thyroid measures 6.7 x 2.4 x 2.7 cm and contains a small cyst measuring 4.6 x 2.6 x 4.1 cm and a complex nodule measuring 5.1 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm.  Both sides demonstrate homogeneous texture without evidence of focal masses or cystic lesions."

I saw the Endo yesterday and he was concerned about the size of the cyst and nodule and wanted the radiologist to review the findings....

Needless to say, I am a bit concerned, any thoughts ????

What is homogeneous texture?
Is that size even possible?  It is my understanding that is the size of a normal thyroid alone .....

Just got the call back from the Endo.
There was an error on the report.  The Right thyroid measures: 5.6 x 1.4 x 2.0 cm
The cyst on the left lobe measures 4.6 x 2.6 x 4.1 mm.  That is good news, however, the left thyroid measures 6.7 x 2.4 x 2.7 and the new report says " teh complex predominantly solid nodule in the left lobe of the thyroid is correctly measured above, measuring 5.1 x 2.2 x 1.8 cm.  This nodule encompasses the majority of of the left lobe.

So, the Endo is sending me for a biopsy next week.

I am afraid the person who wrote report, mixed some units .If the cyst is 'small' it should be 5 mm not the centimeters. Homogenious means "even" or uniform; using phrase "texture without evidence of focal masses or cystic lesions, " just after the statements about the cyst and nodule makes no sense, because you DO have cyst and nodule.
What is the size of right lobe?
If both lobes are same in size, the thyroid fits Grade 3 goiter, and should be visible on your neck.
