Thyorid levels optimal?

My doc just rfaised me from 88 to 100 synthroid. My results are:

THYROID
STIMULATING
HORMONE
1.85 uIU/mL (0.45-4.70) F

FREE T4 1.6 ng/mL (0.71-1.85) F

Am I good here or is it too low?

Also. this is after 4 weeks will it continue to go down or is waiting 4 week after an increase long enough.

Last question: I have heard that the top 75% of range is ideal target for free t4. What is 75% of 0.71-1.85? It's 1.6 right?

When you were originally diagnosed and started on the thyroid med (whatever dosage), what symptoms did you have at that time, and what were your lab test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report?

Before answering that let's talk about the Welbutrin.   Did the doctor prescribe that because of depression?

Yes, it was for depression. Been on it awhile. The doctor also thinks that that could be making me jittery not the synthroid. To be honest I was only on 50 mg and just dropped it to 25 mg 5 days ago.

Since T4 med has a half life of about one week, it takes about 4 weeks to get to over 90% of the final effect on serum levels.

If you have no symptoms that are typical of hypothyroidism, why would you want to change your dosage?

I don't feel hypo I feel a tad anxious. I wondered if I took 88mcg for two days a week and the 100mcg 5 days would that help? Would that make a difference?

A Free T4 that is at least at 50 % of its range, is usually adequate, if the Free T3 level is also in the upper third of its range.  When taking T4 med, often the patient's body does not adequately convert T4 to T3.  Have you been tested for Free T3?  If not, you should make sure they always test for both.  Even though doctors like to believe that T4 is always adequately converted to T3 when needed, that is not the case.  There are a number of variables that affect the conversion.  Since Free T3 is the thyroid hormone used by all the cells of your body to produce necessary energy,  it is important to know if the FT3 level is adequate.

Even more important than those test results, pleases tell us about any symptoms you have.

My t3 was not tested this time but it has been 6 months ago and I was converting ok. I feel ok. The brain fog is gone, the achey knees are gone. But I get a little wired. I think this is because I am on wellbutrin. I should not try to stay at a high tsh and be groggy to treat my anxiety.

What if I took 100 mcg 5 times a week and 88mcg two days? Would that have a significant effect?
