I just moved to Aiken and am looking for good thyroid doc, too. Would you mind sharing name with me?
New Kid
I don't have a doctor right now for the Charlotte area, or Raleigh. How about Winston-Salem?
Wow, that was fast! :) Thank you!
Aiken is three hours away from me (opposite side of the state ... I'm just an hour south of Charlotte, NC and 90 minutes from the Raleigh, NC area). I actually saw a doctor in Aiken late last summer, but once I got there, he told me he didn't really treat thyroid disorders. I got a lot of good detox info though. :)
But if this doctor tests T3 and T4 and knows how to treat thyroid, then, YES, I am interested even if they're three hours away!
From the list of member recommended doctors that I have been collecting for over 4 years, I have a doctor in Aiken, SC. Is that close enough to be of interest?
I am new here and although I have read these thyroid forums for quite a while now, this is my very first post!
I am also looking for a good thyroid doctor in South Carolina, or even North Carolina. I am willing to travel either direction! The endo I'm currently seeing will only test TSH and won't consider anything other than just Synthroid. I'm on 100 mcg now, but my symptoms just seem to be getting worse. In fact, I've got a bunch of new symptoms that are scaring me!(numbness in the face, pain in neck up to my ears and jaws, etc.)
I know I have Hashi's (antibodies 400+) and I had two nodules last year that were biopsied as okay, but I feel like one of them is getting worse too. I have an appointment later this month for an ultrasound (and probably another biopsy as bad as I feel), but I'd love to find a doctor willing and able to treat the WHOLE problem.
gimel and/or rlong2133 - if you found a good doc in SC, can you please post the info or send me a PM? Thank you in advance!
