Thyroid Disorder affects

My husband was been on meds for his hypothyroid condition for 8 years. The doctors say he is regulated, but he has the following symptoms: Lack of Sex drive, always fatigued, and is very intraverted.
He did not have any of these problems before his thyroid condition. I know this is rare in men so I was wondering will these symptoms ever get better over time? Also, are there other symptoms I am not aware of - I have heard of impotence before, but am not really sure if it is true...?
