Thyroid Issues

I just had a baby in May 07. Well ever since then they been testing my thyroid. They said the the thyroid has to be @ like 3 something for the blood test. Well mine has been about 8 something high, They keep testing it every 2 months and keep changing or making the meds higher liek the first time i was on the meds they had it  @ 25 milgrams I belive and now 4 weeks ago they changed it to 100. I dont know how I keep gaining weight when I eat healty meal everyday I run 2 times a day and work out and i just wont loose any weight.. Is it because of the thyroid or could it be something else... I am normaly before I had my son 110 and during pregnacy 164! Now I'm 174 it wont go away.. what else can i do!

I think you haven't been at a good levels for long enough to see much change. Once the TSH settles down and stays there for a few months, you may begin to see some improvement.
Keep on top of your levels. Make sure you don't go too low on the TSH, but make sure you get it down to around a 1. Thyroid disease can be tough to treat following a pregnancy. Make sure you see an endo.

If you could get your labs with ranges it would really help us figure out what is going on.
Please have your doctor check your A1C levels, run a *full* thyroid panel (not just TSH), and do a complete blood panel.  Many things could be going on after pregnancy.

Are you being treated by and endocrinologist?

Are you eating 3-5 well balanced carb-controlled meals each day?  That's a biggie for many thyroid patients - controlling carbs.

Give us a bit more info and we'll see what we can do for you

Have you had your adrenals checked.  Many of the symptoms of adrenal fatigue are the same as being hypothyroid and weight gain is one of them.  You might have your doctor test for the adrenal fatigue.
