Thyroid Question

by laqueena, Nov 09, 2009 01:38PM
I have been diagnosed with thyroid cancer "Papillary". I'm scheduled for surgery 1/4/10 to have the complete thyroid removed. In the meantime my energy level is low. Can I take b-12 shots to bring my energy level up, and will it worsen my condition?

You might try a product called EmergenC...it is a vitamin b complex with vitamin c, it is a powder you put into water, it is kind of expensive, but there are generic forms.  Otherwise, caffeine is what got me through most of my extreme hyponess.  Any reason why they are going to wait so long for the surgery?  (I am a papillary cancer patient, too)

Thanks for the response!

Currently I'm not in any danger! The cancer cell is very small 1.5 cm, I'm not in any pain or have symptons. My ins will reimbursement me more money if I wait until 1/1/10. My doctor states that he feel I can wait but if there are any problems he will take me right away!
