I am so miserable. I had my Levoxyl dose changed in December 2009 from 112 to 125. I was on that dose until February, and in that time it did MAJOR damage to me. I began having panic attacks daily, so bad that I missed a ton of work because I could not get out of bed. I was given Ativan which gave temporary relief but when I stopped that it made me sicker. I have since gone back to the 112 dose, but now I'm noticing a ton of neurological symptoms that I never had before the change in December. My nerves are so bad that I broke out in Shingles in May. I have numbness and tingling and heaviness in my legs, some days so bad I feel like I can't walk, also numbness in my fingers. I have noticed this gets worse the closer I get to my period. I have been diagnosed with GAD, but I am terrified, I repeat TERRIFIED that I have some type of life threatening condition like a brain tumor or that I have MS. My docs. all seem to think my problem is anxiety related. I am seeing a new endocronologist tomorrow, which has me worked up too. I am scared he is going to tell me something awful. I have been through such hell for the last 9 months. I just want to be better but I have a feeling every day that the worst is yet to come. Has any one else had strange neurological problems as a result of thyroid issues? I was diagnosed as hypo, but when I went to the 125 dose I went HYPERthyroid. Should also mention that I have very low blood calcium and take 2,000 mg daily of calcium which do not totally take away tingling.
