Thyroid and my period!!

I am a 27 year old women who has thyroid disease for a little more then three years. My Gyno and my Endo have no idea why when i stop taking my birth control pills i dont have my periods?? I first discovered this when my husband was deployed i decided to stop taking my birth control pills and i didnt have a period for his entire deployment of seven months. I know i am on the right birth control because they have put me on a higher estrogen birth control pill once before and i dont have a period? does anyone know whats going on??

Birth control pills will effect the thyroid. The fake estrogen in the pills will slow function down and many hypos report heavy flows when the feel bad.

Not taking it - probably increases the function to somewhat hyper - and that could be the issue with not getting it
