I have been on thyroid medication for about four years now. I am 26 years old and I'm trying to lose about 20 lbs. I have been on weight watchers for a year, and go to the gym at least three days a week. I have not lost a pound in said year. I was tested for thyroid problems because my mother has them, and the doctor at the time did not seem too alarmed by my results but put me on a low dosage. I went because I had some symptoms, and truthfully at the time it did make me feel better. But now, I'm getting frustrated with my lack of weight loss. I'm 5'4 and I weigh 145lbs. I'd like to lose at least 15 lbs, and again I am stuck. Do you believe that me taking this medication could be making it impossible?
