I don't really feel all that bad - just no appetite, and I have been getting really bad headaches every day and take migranone for that (all natural gingerGinger Ginger root and feverfew) and it seems to work well.
Will these numbers get back to normal with the right treatment? what are the implications??
Revaluating your levels with antibodies, TSH relating to mild hypothyroidism. FTs relate early Hashi.
Let me know what levels are after being on Armour. You might have another problem (conversion), but Armour might correct it, so let me know after your test - 4 weeks after starting Armour.
You seem very knowledgeable about this stuff - been taking the 30mg Armour or 1/2 grain (small dose I believe) since Sat and will see if ND adjusts anything on Friday.
One other question - has this been going on for a while in my body or does this just suddenly develop?? I would assume it takes a while to develop, but I could be wrong....
Its too early for Labs right now, meaning, not enough time for meds to work in the blood. Earlier then 4 weeks can give false levels.
Autoimmune thyroid disorders are known to have a genetic predisposition in most cases. There is some evidence that Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis can have a hereditary link. If autoimmune diseases run in ones family, there is a higher risk of developing one yourself.
So you could have had hashi all along, then some environmental factor brought it to the surface as a health issue.
In answer to your other post:
Free thyroxine (FT-4) - Thyroxine is T4
Free Triiodothyronine (FT-3)- Triiodothyronine is T3
The thyroid produces T4 and T3. However it produces more T4, thereby our system converts a certain percentage of T4 into T3 as our body needs it.
