Yes I agree with RedHead...the test do look Hypo the 2nd time round.
Good posting Redhead.
From your first post it looked she was hyper....but the latest tests show she is more hypo. She will definitely need medication. I wonder if she has had anti-bodies test done too?
Each trimester in the pregnancy will more than likely need a dosage adjustment.
If left untreated it can sometimes cause miscarriage. If left untreated and the baby is full term, sometimes the baby can be born with thyroid disorder too.
Babies born to mother's taking thyroid replacement hormone are at no greater risk than normal babies.
But it is very important she get some medication soon. It takes around 4 to 6 weeks to kick in.
Good luck!
Yes, we did a test again. Now her TSH is 4.06, FT3 is 4.3 & FT4 is 7.19
Is she doing normal now? What are the precautions we should take.
Thanks & Regards,
Raghava
Your wife will most probably be put on an antithyroid med if she is hyper and continue being monitored throughout her pregnancy.
Did her Doc run a FT3 and FT4 test too?
If so..post here.
All the best :)
