Thyroid cancer-afterwards

Hi,

My whole thyroid was removed in July 2009 and had radioiodine in August. I did ultrasound in December and everything is normal. I had blood test in November and my TSH was 0.01. The ENT changed my Levoxyle\ from 112 to 100. I had blood test a few days ago. The results are TSH 0.03 and Free T4 1.34. I feel fine. But, I have acid reflux starting August and phlegm starting in June. they never go away. I also had white blood cell check. My WBC has been on the lower end for years. But, this time, the WBC dropped from 4.2 in June to 3.7 in November and then 2.9 in January. My Neutrophil is 46 which is low and Eosinophil is 7 which is too high. The abs Neutrophil is 1.3 which is low and Folate is 22.8 which is too high. My red bllod cell and everything else is fine. So, is this something I need to worry about?

Hi,

Thanks for your advice. I like to look into this apple cider vinegar thing. Maybe it will help. I will try anything than the Prilosec.

Yes - I think so - you still don't feel well.

Regardless of cancer surgery or ablation - patients with no thyroid are now altered different and need other things to keep them feeling well.

I would certainly talk to your doctor about iodine supplements ( you may get laughed at though) and looking at TSH - Free T3 and Free T4 testing on your thyroid. Your TSH is suppressed good for having cancer - but TSH does not tell the whole story on how to feel normal after thyroid removal.

PH levels change after thyroid removal. Not sure why - but it does happen for many of us. Its more of a potent acid and NOT overproduction. Taking acid reducer meds is very bad and can bring on more issues if continued and the PH levels are ignored. You don't have OVER production - you have LESS and taking PPI's will even further lessen the needed acid for digestion and other things.

You may find alot of information googling up apple cider vinager - sea salt and

( believe it or not) -

Pickle juice!
