Thyroid problems again??

by mudkme83, Sep 08, 2009 11:20AM
Im not to sure whats going on with my thyroid this time around. TSH just showed up at 6.29 as of today. Im not on meds and iam awaiitng free's results.I had been taken off thyroid months ago and it went back around normal and they said I was fine. Antibodies were negative for hashimotos etc. I dont know why im fluctuating? Anyways, the natropath says with all my symtoms I need to be on thyroid again. So he put me on 60mg of Westthyroid. Anybody have any ideas on why my thyroid is jumping around and negative for hashimotos etc? thanks, Kyle

Thyroiditis is usually the cause....inflammation of the thyroid gland.
Your Doc is right in putting you back on thyroid meds.
What was your FT3 and FT4?

Hi

I was wondering what happened to you.....

My thought is - and take this good.. to a degree.

When you were on the board before - you were jumping around from meds to dosages to ???

You were stressed and you could read that in your posts before.. so my question is

What's going on in your life? are you overworked/overstressed?

Don't always look to blame Hashi's my friend... Normal life can kick a thyroid hinney too.

Hi Stella,Smilerdeb,

Its great to be back here.....Second times a charm... wink, wink

I was forced to leave work after I fell asleep at the wheel and almost went head on with a group of cars....quite scary....Thats when my Doc put me on Disability which is great until this delima is all sorted out.

Thats how bad things got with my fatigue and sleepiness. And yes, you couldn't get anymore stressed out than i was trying to deal with that and draging myself to work off what felt like no sleep ...Nightmares to say the least...

Anyways here goes round two, and im going to try my best to stick this out my dosage of Westroid prescribed.Im much more relaxed now and hopefully things work out for me and i can enjoy life again. I know my body needs the stuff as slow as ive gotten again.

thanks for the support

I really don't think you were given a chance the first time to get completely well. I remember when yuou first came on board - your meds and dosages seemed to be changing day to day at times.

We've got to remember this can be a long haul for most and patience to allow the body to adjust has to be done.
