----I have recently been diagnosed with GravesGraves disease Disease and have been seeing a fertility Dr. to attempt In vitro fertilization. My fertility Dr. recommended seeing a specialist before furthing my plight at "baby making".
So, I am scheduled to have my thyroid removed tomorrow... Oct. 2, 2008.
My question is.... How soon after will be healthty enough to re-start my In vitro process? I am very anxious for, I have been waiting 2 years already!
I believe it depends on a number of factorsFactor ix complex. . .I had my thyroid out on 8/4/08 for GravesGraves disease Disease and then had calcium issues post-op. . .I had been on mega-doses of calcium and prescription vitamin D. . .luckily, my calcium has regulated and my endo said that we can start trying for a baby now that I'm off of the calcitriolCalcitriol Calcitriol topical (vit D). . .of course there will have to be some adjustmentsAdjustment disorder made with the synthroid, but that is par for the course I believe.
I'm sure that there are others on here who have more info than me.
Nest of luck with the surgery. If you have any questions please ask me.
