I have recently had a cardiacCardiac catheterization Cardiac tamponade Left heart ventricular angiography cath with iodine dye contrast x-rays for AtrialAtrial fibrillation/flutter Atrial myxoma Left atrial myxoma Right atrial myxoma fib with tacaycardia and was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. 2 weeks later I had thyroid tests done. Here are the results
TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh- * .11
T3 - 42
T4T4 test - 8.0
T7 - 3.4
TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh Receptor Ab - *15
My doctor didn't know what these results meant and is referring me to a endocrinologist. I have had several opinions from medical professionals on the dye contrast and have been told, it does nothing also was told that it raise the values,If that is true are my TSH even lower than .11?
Can the iodine dye effect the results of these test ? Or do I really have hyperthyroid with graves?
I am looking for an underlying cause of the A-fib, I have been healthy, although unable to lose weight upon dieting, untill the this heart problem hit me like a ton of bricks.
Please Help!
