Thyroid test results

I was diagnosed with hypo about 8 years ago.  I've been on Levo, Synthroid and most recently tried Armour.  I've never been completely rid of my symptoms though and recently, I've had major hair loss, cold intolerance and am still holding onto around 15 pounds that I can't get rid of.  I went to dr. for tests and this is what it read
TSH- 22.7
T3-2.5
T4-.54

I know the TSH is definitely off but what about T3 and T4?  My doc has me back on 100 mg of synthroid but I'm wondering if i should be on some sort of T3 replacement also.  Any suggestions or comments are WELCOMED!!

You definitely need an increase.

When on T4 only meds, it's very difficult to predict if you will convert adequately until FT4 gets to about midrange (about 1.31 on your range).  Once at midrange on FT4, you can see if FT3 is rising with it and how you feel on just T4.  At the moment, your FT3 is higher in its range than FT4 is in its, so it looks like you're converting.

Is your doctor wanting to increase?

Please post the reference ranges for FT3 and FT4 as they vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report.

However, even without seeing your ranges, I can see that your FT4 is extremely low, probably below range.  FT3 is also very low, probably at or just above bottom of range.

You're undermedicated and need an increase.

Right now, there's no clear indication that you need to add T3 to your meds.  With FT4 so low, it's impossible to say how well you will do on T4 only meds until you get your FT4 higher and see how your FT3 reacts.
