Thyroid trouble?

I have been having weight gain, lack of energy, moody, hair breaking & etc. I had bloodwork done by my PCP back in July 2012. They told me my thyroid was good. My gynecologist noticed my thyroid slightly enlarged the other day & I have been having heavy bleeding he is looking in to. He set up a thyroid sonogram for me next week. In the meantime I called my PCP to ask what my levels were for the thyroid test last year. My T3 was 32.3 Isn't that considered very low?? Could that be a factor in all my symptoms & a few more?

I have had hypothyroidism for 28 years. It is imperative that your doctor does a full Thyroid Panel each time. Yes your levels are extremely low.
Normal Test Results:
    The results represented here are the general normal limits, according to health-care-information.org. "T3: 80-220 ng/dl; T4: 5-13 ug/ml; TSH 0.55-3.89 ugIU/ml." Each lab or method of testing may have its own range for normal test results.
    There are other thyroid hormone blood tests which may be used to differentiate between diagnoses if these basic thyroid tests, often referred to as the thyroid panel, indicate abnormalities. Additional testing may also be necessary to determine severity of the condition.

All of your symptoms are listed symptoms of hypothyroidism. I'm not sure of the reference range for your T3 however. Is that total or free T3?
