This is an old thread and godiva121 hasn't posted on the forum since she posted this thread. We don't know how things turned out.
If you have your current thyroid hormone levels, please post them for us, with reference ranges, so we can better assess your situation. Some symptoms of hyper, such as anxiety and insomnia, can also apply to hypo. You shouldn't just stop your medication.
Hey there,
I stopped my medication as well because it caused me anxiety and I felt hyper. I used to sleep well, but now wake up periodically throughout the night. Are you still having insomnia? What have you done since this post to help with the sleepless nights?
Sorry, I stopped 2 weeks ago, I feel that is now hyper....I have so many symptoms....sorry for the repetition
Hi,
My doctor made me stop the thyroid, now have heart palpitation and insomnia among other symptoms of hyperthyroid"...frequent bowel, ....
Thank you
You don't just stop thyroid medication when your levels get back into range. It's the medication that gets it into range and keeps it there. How long ago did you stop taking the Armour?
Your TSH is too high, even though it's within the range. Anxiety is a symptom of hypothyroidism. Talk to your doctor about getting back on the medication and get your Free T3 and Free T4 levels tested. Those are the actual thyroid hormones and are more indicative of thyroid status than TSH is.
Tsh is 3.68. What can I do for anxiety. Took thyroid by armour my dr told me to stop it ref range 1 to4
What thyroid medication did you take, what dosage, why did you stop taking it and how long ago?
