Thyroid

I just received my lab results , the thyroglobulin antibodies  was 2235 , and the thyroid peroxidase was 159 . The thyroid panel , T-3 uptake 31 , T-4 8.2 and Free T4 Index was 2.7 , which are in range. So what does having high thyroglobulin, and thyroid peroxidase mean .  My doctor refer me to an endocrinologist, but it will be another week before I see them. Can someone  please explain what the results mean.

Thanks,
Abbey

To best assess your test results, we need you to post the reference ranges shown on the lab report.  Are you having any symptoms?  If so, please tell us about those as well.  Symptoms are more important to know about than just lab test results.

It means you are Hashimoto autoimmune hypothyrodism.

You have antibodies attacking your thyroid right now and are in need of thyroid treatment.
