Thyroid

I had a partial thyroidectomy last May.  I just had blood drawn for TSH level.  It was .19.  The doctor is not concerned at all and does not intend to increase my med (Synthroid).  I have been at the same level (150)  since June '08.  I'm wondering if I should check with another doctor, or if this level is okay.

My partial thyroidectomy was because of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.  I had the right half removed nearly one year ago.  What do you mean by TSH labs?  The nurse just called me and told my the TSH level was .19 which is low, but the doctor isn't concerned.

Hi and WELCOME!  It all depends on your TSH levels and/or symptoms and why you had the partial done (cancer vs. non cancer, etc.)  If you have the TSH labs that may be helpful to give some feedback.
