Thyroidectomy now feeling hypo

I had thyroid cancer in 1997 and had a total thyroidectomy since then I have been taking levoxyl and my blood is within normal range for thyroid cancer (TSH 0.208, free T4 1.47) according to my endo.
However I have the following hypo symptoms - no sex drive, depression, irritability, forgetfullness, less organized, tired, loss of interest in daily activites etc. I have been reading about T4/T3 therapy and T3 bloodwork. To my knowledge I do not think I have ever had a T3 test and never knew there was one. I once mentioned to my endo that when I took cytomel before my first body scan, I felt normal again, so can I try cytomel and she said absolutely not and gave me no reason. But upon my reading I think I could benefit from it, what do you think?
