I know that this is an old post, but it actually applies to me. . .
I just have a silly question. . .what if any are the differences between "tingling", "numbness", "pins & needles" etc.?
my feet seem to fall asleep or tingle a lot lately (especially but not limited to when I cross my legs either at the knee or the more "masculine" way: foot/ankle across the knee)
, and I think it's because they lowered my synthroid dosage, but I'm not sure. . .maybe vitamin deficiency maybe something else, maybe nothing.
I see my endo tomorrow, and I want to make sure that I communicate effectively with my endo. . .I've had a bit of health anxiety since my Total Thyroidectomy and I want to make sure that I address my concerns but don't sound like a hypochondriac.
Thanks!
Thank you so much Scartlet37!!! That is very encouraging information!! I appreciate your sharing that! I can't you how concerned I've been about the tingling in my feet. My endo never says much, he just tells me to "wait and see" what happens when tsh is normal. Thank you and good luck!!!
Although I did not become hypo until after my TT- I had this symptom in my feet & hands constantly, several times a day. Now that my TSH has been normal for a few weeks the symtpoms are dropping off one by one. My endo told me that it will take 3 mos. at a normal level before the symptoms disappear.
Best Wishes,
teresa
Thanks for posting ravenmfox! My feet started to tingling (mostly in the evening) before I started synthroid. My tsh is still too high, so I'm waiting to see if it stops. Hope you're better soon!
I had this start in my feet at night only go to hands and feet all day. I believed for me that it was a toxic reaction to synthroid, since they kept raising dose. Once they switched me to to Armour and lowered my dose, the tingling has gone back to sporatic feet only at night. My numbers are still out of control. Thanks
