Told I have hyperthyroidism

I just saw Endo dr. ten days ago.  He said I have hyperthyroidism and a goiter under left side of chin area.  My labs are in but I don't see the Dr. again until July 22.  What should I look for in my labs?  I know that I have high calcium and protein in my blood. My eGFR test keeps falling and I know that means kidney damage.  I have high cortisol too. I get ultrasound done Friday and thyroid scan the next Thurs. and Fri...  I just want to know something now.  Anyone out there that can help?  I am 58 and also have hepc and am afraid that any thyroid medicine they start me on might further damage my liver.  What should I look for on my labs that might tell me something?  I am frantic and tired of being tired and sick.

hi helenschild4... The things you need to look for on your labs are Free T4, Free T3 and TSH.  Please post those results and the corresponding reference ranges, so we can see the actual status of your thyroid... It's quite unusual for one to be hyperthyroid with HepC, as the treatment drugs often cause hypothyroidism.
