I had a 4.5cm nodule on my thyroid, which I underwent a radioactive test, fine needle biopsy, and a frozen biopsy. The FNA and the Radioactive testing both came up as suspicious and my doctors wanted to evaluate further. I had surgery to remove the mass and half of my thyroid nodule. While on the table, they had a frozen biopsy on the module and the doctor found it to be "abnormal." He didn't answer any further questions and told us that he would send it out to pathology and that he had "a feeling this is benign." I was wondering what could this be other than cancer? I'm a 21 year old female who has been healthy for a fair part of her life.
