Hello Dr. Lupo,
Just trying to better understand my ultrasound report. My doctor didn't really explain it and he set up an appointment with an endocrinologist a month from now. I am worried because it has become difficult to swallow and the back of my tongue and throat feel very raw.
The report reads: the right lobe was measured at 4.6 cm and the left at 4.1 cm. It shows a heterogeneous parenchyma. A 3.6 x2.8 cm solid mass is seen in the right lobe, containing a small cyst. A second 7mm solid nodule and a 9mm simple cyst are also seen in the right side. A 9mm solid nodule is present in the left lobe. Findings compatible with multinodular goiter.
Biopsy recommended.
Should I push for an appointment at an earlier date? Should I be worried.
Thank you,
Diana
