Update on Dscoochie

I just had an e-mail from Despina's husband.  She is still in the hospital because her calcium levels are low.  Stupid calcium levels! Hopefully they'll get it regulated soon so she can come home. I know she must be more than ready to get home!  I'll let you know if I hear anything more.....I can't wait until she can fill us in herself!!

OH my gosh; all the years here on thryoid and this happens to poor Dscoochie.    So sorry to hear this and I haven't heard others with such awful, yet very possible, complications.   I am glad she is making slow, steady progress.

She got to come home for a few hours on a day pass today, but her levels are still dangerously low. She's on oral and IV calcium, so hopefully they'll get it figured out soon. She's hoping to get discharged tomorrow.  I've sent on all your prayers and good wishes!!  Can't wait until she can update us herself!

Tell her she is missing TGIF Pub night for me ok?  And tell her to take it easy .... better to stay an extra day or so and come home healthy than battle the calcium at home.
