Uptake Results

I just had a uptake scan, prior to this my labs came back normal. My uptake results are R= 6.6cm x 3.1cm and L=5.2cm x 2.8cm. It also indicates that the 4hr RAIU is 7.80 % and 24hr RAIU is 20.0%. My Dr. says that the next step is to have a ultrasound because the left side is a little larger and active. Based on these results it looks to me like the right side would make more since. He also said that the whole thyroid is enlarged. Could you explain this to me.

Have you had antibody testing at all for Graves Disease?

Your uptake % isnt really that high ...maybe you have thyroiditis?
Just a thought....
