Waving hello

Hi my friends,

Sorry to all that I haven't been on here much.  Been having massive migraine issues (I feel like the migraine medicine guinea pig) and have a hard time with computer screens.

Oh, also been busy having a grand baby!  Yeah, my daughter (also without a thyroid - just like the rest of us) had a beautiful 7lb15oz, 19.5inch baby girl on 22 January.  She didn't feel a thing (even slept during transitional labor).  Man, they have really improved meds since I had her and her brother!  Fingers and toes crossed that this little one doesn't inherit my side of the family's thyroid issues!  :-O

Anyway, wanted to tell you all that I'm alive and kicking (mostly) but my head is caving in.  I think of you all constantly but don't think I'm being a thyroid snob if I don't post often - I'm just trying to keep my head from blowing up all over the forum (that would be really messy).

Love you all

Wow!  You have been busy.  And what a proud Grandma you are!  She's beautiful and probably resembles immensly, in looks only (not in thyroid issues...), her grandmother.  Congradulations!

I get migraines as well, albeit just occasionally, and they are SO not fun.  So I sympathize with your problem.  I find staying away from weird lighting (like malls... UGH, did I just say that out loud?) and avoidance of looking into lighting in general, helps me.  You've mentioned other health issues you've been suffering here lately and I hope they are all well under control now.  That the migraines are the only things left on the health check list.  Not to minimize a migraine, cause they can really stink, but they don't have you living in a hospital usually.

Hugs to you and again, huge congratulations!

Congratulations on the grandbaby.  She's quite the little princess.

I don't have a problem with migraines any more, so I'm sorry I can't offer any solution, except try to relax and rest.  Hope you get to feeling better.

I was going to email you today ... I am so happy you posted lady ... I was concerned!

CONGRATS on the baby WOW!!!!!!

You should take the migraine tracker and also go to the migraine expert forum Utah .. maybe they can help you there figure out what is the trigger .. geez, that is just awful awful awful.

How is the thyroid and all those other concerns? Always in my thoughts you know!

You will be here I hope for Dr. Lupo's chat today?

CONGRATS!  I know how much fun that is!  I loved sharing that experience with my mom when my son was born!  :)  Those are some of my fondest memories.  Your granddaughter is so beautiful!  We won't think you're being a Thyroid Snob if you aren't on here.  You have a *wonderful* excuse.  :)  Besides those pesky migraines.  Ugh.  I hope they get you on something that works.  Excedrin Migraine works the best for mine.  It gets rid of the pain but leaves me a little hyped.  I'm sure you may have already tried that as it's an OTC med.  If you haven't, you should give it a go.

Well you enjoy your newest family member and enjoy the blessing of life.  It's a beautiful thing to watch a child grow.  Take lots of pictures because as you know they grow up so fast!  :)

Congratulations!

Utah,

Congratulations on your new granddaughter, she is a big girl and a cutie pie.

I sure was worried about you, so much so, that I started going back in the history to see when was your last post.

I'm glad you took the time to post and let us know how you are doing and I am so glad you took the time away!!!! I know what a migrane can do. What meds are you on?

My neurologist put me on Zomig and its the only one that has worked for me.

Take care, relax, release and enjoy the grand baby.

Awwwww what a wonderful piece of news! A widdle cooot bubby!    Now don't forget that as you are a grandma now YOU will be on diaper duty! Hee hee.... if that don't cure the migraines I don't know what will!
I get migraines on day 2 of period time, and in this heat here in Aus they have been real hammer smashing tension filled migraines...totally bleurgh...so I know exactly where you are coming from.
Cheers!
