Weight Gain

by Mary50, Feb 29, 2008 10:21AM
I have been on 0.25 of Synthroid for about 5 months and am still gaining weight even though I am eating less than 1,000 calories a day and exercising daily.  I am eating plenty of veggies and fruits instead of chips and chocolate (which I prefer) for snacks.  Any suggestions on how to speed up the metabolism.  Thanks

I would get them to recheck your levels.  .25 is a very very low dosage.  You may need an increase.  I have been on treatment since August and I am still waiting for the right dosage.  Up to 216lbs.  Good luck to you.
