Weight problems

by cinds, Mar 24, 2008 12:21PM
I am currently gaining weight. The only drugs that I am on different from my normal thyroid and hormones are Minocycline and Effexor XR, which I am now taking 37.5 to get off of.  Does Minocyline cause weight gain.  I am hypothyroid, but my last test several months back were normal.  I exercise very regularly, but still can't lose weight and now am gaining rapidly.

Is your TSH low enough?

Being in the normal range of the lab is not enough after you start on thyroid meds. The TSH is usually best around a 1.
