Well I go back to work on Monday from being off this last week per the boss man...He e-mailed me on Friday which by the way I told my husband that would happen..And said to report at my scheduled time and that we would have a formal meeting @ 3pm..i told my husband I'm going in with my work keys in my hand and ready to just say okay if he let's me go, not going to disagree with anything he says, but if he wants me to sign anything about my errors or lower of pay I will refuse to sign, i'm not signing anything as I have not been there for 1 1/2 weeks how do I know for sure the mistakes are mine, should have shown me before I left for treatment. I have spoke with the unemployment office on Friday and they said I do not have to sign and that it is a force quit and I would be eligable for unemployment so I have my ducks in a row before I go into work on Monday. I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed by this all today, but trying to find ways to clam myself down.  Thanks everyone for all your support.

Am posting this at 6:30 my time so am guessing you are at work or on your way by now, but I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and praying for God to give you strength today.
And if boss keeps being his own jerk self the Chicken Club is armed and ready!  BACH!!!

      It royally stinks that you have to go through this. I wish you well on Monday . Please check in to the national law called FMLA ( Family Medical Leave Act). It is clearly written that you may take unpaid leave for an amount of time while you or a family member ( one that you need to care for) are ill.The interesting thing is that should you take leave for yourself unpaid they must carry your medical insurance for up to 90 days. Also because you are missing work they CANNOT fill your position as long as you are under a doctors care. Please check into this before you go in on Monday, there may be something in this law that can be beneficial to fire back at that idiot should you have to. I can tell you that quoting a law couldn't hurt even if you decided not to stay there- it would certainly keep him on his toes!!!

Hang in there! I agree with everyone else try not to stress too much this weekend. The jerk isnt worth it.
When you get to work Monday keep your head high. I dont think any of those people are worth getting you down. Its just a job and your health is WAYmore important. Besides WE know your true value and if the company and all the pansies who work there dont then its THEIR loss!!! ((((((Pam)))))))

I know easier said than done, but try not to put too much energy in to worrying about it this weekend.  It sounds like you've done all your homework, and are ready for the Major JERK.  Cheryl is right in that it's going to be stressful.  I just wish your "formal" meeting wasn't at 3:00, because now you'll have to spend the entire morning and part of the afternoon thinking/stressing about it.  I'll definitely be thinking about you, and praying all goes well.

Cheryl ~ gonna miss you next week, although it sounds as if you MAY be able to get on and post...depending on the wind!!  I'm so jealous that you're going to be at the oceanside.  I'll be thinking about you and wishing I were sitting in a beach chair right beside you!!  I'm sure I'm going to be a little stressed out this week thinking about surgery on the 6th.  I think the ocean would calm my nerves!!!  :-)

Monday will be high stress .. you will be overwhelmed in every direction you go .. even if coffee with a co-worker.  I thought I'd warn you now that it will be normal and not thyroid related but may be enhanced as hormones not normal yet ..................do you have any anti anxiety meds in the house?  May not be a bad idea to ask your dr. for a low dose to have on hand and maybe do a week's worth .. it can only help your body heal.  I'm not saying you aren't strong, I'm just saying this is pushing the limit with any human being .... when you leave just ask him one ? .. ask him this, "I just hope you are able to put your head on the pillow when you go to sleep?".  That'll get to him on a personal level.

We are going to the NJ Shore Tues - Sat .. but I'll be online Monday night just for you & already told hubby to bring wireless device with him as I'll go thru withdrawal from this board .. the ? is .. will T-Mobile work at the shore .. last yr. it depends on the ocean's wind LOL!!!! and which way it is blowing.

Good Luck on Monday.  Just remember after beating thyca, everything else is small potatoes!!!  Have you mentioned to your boss about the ADA and cancer being considered a disability and employers having to make "reasonable accommodations"? If by some chance he does fire you, I would contact an attorney first, then the local media.  They love telling about a good discrimation story, and you've got one!!
