What could this be?

Hello Doctor,
I have just noticed a swelling on the right side of the bottom of my neck. It is close to the adams apple and seems that it moves with the Adams apple when I swallow. Is it a thyroid problem should I be concerned what should I do? There is no pain.

Thank you so much

P

hey, i had the same thing, you need to get a scan done which will show what it is and how big it is. then furthur tests might need to be dne such as a FNA biopsy and blood tests.they found 3 complex cysts with me, i had to have a scan and a FNA biopsy. my blood work was all normal and i had no pain.

Hi, I'm not Dr Lupo but it sounds like a Goiter, swelling of the thyroid gland...You should have a scan on this and some blood work to test your thyroid levels...Dawn
