What's the difference between Hashi and thyroiditis?

by TamraW, Aug 22, 2009 09:48PM
Is there a difference between Hashimoto's and Hashimoto's Lymphatic Thyroiditis? I have the latter. Does this mean I may need surgery?

My endo's nurse relayed the news to me over the phone. I have yet to hear from my endo.

Thanks,
:) Tamra

They are but one and the same disorder.
Hashimoto's and Hashimoto's Lymphatic Thyroiditis are the same. It depends on the Doctor or Endo who diagnosed it.

Thanks so much. I was worried I had something else on top of Hashi. Hashi is enough!

Take care...
