When will the antibodies go down?

by fragrance850, Jan 26, 2009 09:59PM
Hi, folks. I have questions about antibodies of Hashimto's.

Will they go down with proper hormone treatment? I have ever heard that they will go down when the dose is stablized. Is it true? But I also heard that they will exist for a long time even if I am thyroidless.

I also heard that lowering the levels of them will get one feel better. So as for now, the supplementation of Selenium is essential for lowering them? Then how much is appopriate? 50 mcg, 100 mcg? Does anyone have the Serum Selenium tested after or before supplementation? Normally the multivitamins contain as much as 200 mcg of Selenium per serving. Is this dosage too much?

Does it make sense if the high 3000+ antibodies go down to 1000?

So many questions about the TPO AB and/or TG AB related, thanks for responses in advance!
