Who Suggested the Shampoo for post TT Surgery???

OK this is so silly I know, but someone had posted a certain brand of shampoo that they really felt help bring their hair back to normal after surgery. Which one was it???  I jotted it down on a scrap paper here at my desk and do you think I can find it now? ugh!

Thanks!
Darla

I recommend Nioxin (I am a cosmetology student due to graduate in a few months).

I recommended it, also.  It stopped mine and got it to coming back in.  Absolutely love it.

Ooops... let me clarify:  my hairloss started AFTER my TT in May of '07, so maybe it would have even been worse had I not already been using Nioxin?  Who knows.

nioxin is what has been recommended a lot on this board.  I have used Nioxin for the last 2 years (my MIL is a beautician and I haven't bought my own shampoo in 10 years b/c she always sends me the huge bottles) and I can't say that it's done anything to help my hairloss.

I like the" Pantene" brand labeled for hair strengthening. Now that my hair is mostly normal again I use "Pantene" classic clean formula.

Time and a hat are your best friends until your hair get back to "normal".  I used numerous shampoos and conditioners and did not find any the was truly outstanding.  My hair dresser recommended Biolage Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner.  I've been using that for about 4 months now.  I also use the Biolage leave-in conditioner.  I also use a oil treatment every time before I blow dry that proved thermal protection by Bill Friede.

It's been 7 months since my RAI and my hair looks fairly healthy considering how dry and brittle it became, but it still hasn't reached normal.   Before RAI if I skipped a day washing my hair, it became very oily.  My hair is never oily now.  It also grew back in curlier, which I like that part of it!
