Why would this happen? HUGE Jump in TSH

I have been doing pretty good since surgery for TT in September and although we've been slowly upping my Levothyroxine meds my numbers were getting closer and closer to evening out and I was feeling pretty good. Then last week I had bloodwork done and found out that my TSH had jumped way way way up from 9.something to 24.90 !!! Why would that happen? The Dr changed my meds again, and hopefully it will come down quickly, but I don't get why it would jump like that so suddenly?
Ideas? Help? Thanks.......
Darla

Well, all they have been doing is the T4 and the TSH .... but I think if it does not go back down by my next draw (in about 6 weeks) I will ask him for a full panel. My Dr is awesome and was dumbfounded by the numbers. He even re-evalutated the Path report to make sure we did not miss something. So weird. The thing that stinks is that I was starting to feel quite a bit better then wham!
Thanks for the info, I am going to ask the Dr about it.

You need to get a full thyroid test which should include FT3 , FT4, TSH, T3uptake, T4 thy etc..   to pinpoint the details. or may be there was an error in your previous TSH test ?
