Will I get enough T4 if I switch to armour?

I am on 137 mcg Synthroid and 5 twice a day of Cytomel. My last test results were:

Tsh   .999    (.45-4.5)
Free T3  3.3  (2.0-4.4)
Free T4  1.39 (.82-1.77)

I am being told I could bump up the T3, but I am having terrible insomnia and anxiety. I stopped taking 1 of the Cytomel last week and now I am starting to feel achey and irritable. I want to switch to armour or the compounded version, but I am scared it will not give me enough T4. My last doc said that armour does not contain enough T4.
What does anyone think about this? I do not convert to T3 well so I know I need it. Oh ya and I am allergic to corn so I cannot take the Erfa version because it contains corn.

That is a question I feel you need to ask your doctor about (well you need to anyhow for the script).  I've never combined synthetic with dessicated but know some here have. It would be my pure GUESS that your 125 synthyroid should be a little lower when matched with the 1 grain dessicated. Its best to error towards hypo a little and be safe when starting a new med. Changing from one type to another is rarely a streamlined experience.

Maybe start a new post, the few that have done this combo might see it.

I am going to try the dessicated version of armour. I am afraid of all the side effects the new armour has had for many people. I am also going to lower Synthroid slowly and add this. I do not want to get that achey feeling again. So I am on 137 Synthroid and 10 of Cytomel. What would be the best way to start? Lower to 125 Synthroid and 1 grain dessicated?

Some have, some have not. Compounded versions can feel different based on the filler they use.

I am so afraid to only take the armour and feel achey. What about the compounded version? Has anyone had success with it?

People have taken Armour and Synthetic T4 to get the T4 up, sounds a little complicated, but possible.
