Will I see a quick change in weight loss?

I was diagnosed today with HypoThyroid, I have gained a lot of weight in the past years. Will I see a rapid weight loss once I start taking the medication? Having this can that be a reason for my not being able to get pregnant?

Most still find losing weight is slow. Yes - thyroid disorders can effect pregnancy
