Worried...

I am new to this site and pretty freaked out, as I just found a lump on the front of my neck 2 days ago. I went in to see my doctor and she diagnosed me with a thyroid nodule. Right away I went to get an ultra sound to further investigate the "growth" My results came back and my doctor has reccomended I see an endocrinologist... heres what the US results stated.

R lobe 4.6x1.5x1.7cm
Complex cyst 1.5x2.2x1.1cm

L Lobe 4.2x1.0x1.3
multiple cysts,largest 0.6x0.4x0.6
nodule 0.4x0.4x0.3

Impression: Multinodular Goiter. The palpable lesion on the right corresponds to a complex cystic lesion up to 2.2cm.

Can someone tell me wether or not I should be freaking out like I am??? My doctor is not the least bit helpful and my appt. to see the endocrinologist isnt for another two weeks. I have no symptoms and am a healthy 28 yo woman! :/ Thanks!

Most thyroidologists are making recommendations to remove nodules that are  larger then 3.5 cm (35mm), the nodules smaller then 1cm in most cases only monitored without biopsy.
The rapid growth (or sudden appearnace) of larger nodule is caused by process called cystic degeneration of the nodule when the blood vessel ruptures inside of it and causes it to baloon. however the detailed answer can be done after reviewing the biopsy results.

also... I went and picked up the US results and it says nothing about the amount of blood flow or portion of the complex cyst liquid compared to solid...

I have an appt to go see an endocrinologist next week, where I believe they will be doing a biopsy...Its really worrying me sick! The complex cyst is the reason I went in because you can actually see it in the front of my neck... does anyone know if the size it considered large? Thanks so much!

Multiple cystic formations within the thyroid are  usually benign, however the complex cyst must be investigated with biopsy from the solid part of it (size over then 1 cm).
Your ultrasound  technician supposed  check the complex cyst for internal blood flow in order to get more information.
