Would not taking Synthroid the AM of fasting bloodwork affect the TSH reading?

I had to fast for a cholesterol panel and they also did a TSH

I did not take my Synthroid that morning of the test.

My TSH is much higher than it's ever been on 75mcgs of Synthroid.   History shows it used to come in at 1.8 but this time it's 2.4 which is not good for the cancer supression.

So my ? is whether fasting for bloodwork and in doing so did not take Synthroid just that one day in the morning as usual .. would that affect the TSH level.  I've been on the 75mcgs for 6 weeks andon Synthroid for 2.5 yrs.

Thanks ....

Having had blood tests fasting and others non-fasting, I can safely say that my levels go up in the fasting ones. It can look a bit scary to see a higher than usual TSH!  I wouldn't put too much emphasise on it. The next test you get done will more than likely show a lowered TSH.
  Cheers!

I don't think it would affect it any.

It was only one miss, very small amt for the body to tell the difference.
