Zinc, Mg and Copper levels

Hi, all.

I just got the reports of minerals. They drew blood from capillary. The blood work was done differently from thyroid hormone tests.

Zinc 79.35 (76.50-150.0)

Copper 23.33 (11.80-39.30)

Magneisum 1.36 (1.12-2.06)

Calcium 1.34 (1.15-2.10)

Iron 7.56 (7.52-11.82)

So I should start to supplement at least Zinc and Copper rich food or pills directly?

I heard that supplements should be taken with  Co Enzyme Q10, why is that?

Thanks

If I am reading another post from you I read these as your labs:

FT3 4.91 (2.5-6.5)
FT4 14.78 (11.5-23.2)
TSH 8.08 (0.35-5.5)
rT3 0.54 (0.2-0.64)==last time was 0.12
HGH 0.69 (0.06-5)=== too low?

Being slightly off on your Iron and other supps could be causing the levels to be off here too.

You say also that -

"This time the doctor I visited asked me to stay at 62.5 mcg and wait for next blood work. He said that TSH could drop as time goes by. But I just gained weight by 2 KG since last month, also suffer from fatigue and other symptoms. The basal temp was tested as 36.3 C these days, .

Do you agree with him? Because the TSH came out as 8, so I am now changing back to 75 mcg. But the doctor didn't agree with me..He also does not know the optimum TSH was around 1 or 2, but said TSH in the normal range is OK enough.

Personally I agree with your doctor. I think you should remain on the dosage of 62.5 and concentrate on the deficiences. I do not agree through with his comment on as long as you are within the ranges of normal that will be OK. Between .8 and 1.5 is a better level for many people.

Possibly go back for a recheck then in 4 weeks after getting on the right formula of minerals.

CoQ10 is a amino acid that aids absorption for some. I do not take it - but considering your mineral lab work a good well absorbed Zinc/Mag/ and Copper supplement would be helpful to you. I would consider a citrate form of the supplement though and my thought is to skip the CoQ10 for a while.

Your Iron is pretty low too which I would assume if you had a ferretin test that would be off also.

Do you have previous thyroid lab tests ? What are they?
