after surgery(subtotal)

i under go eft lobectomy 2yirs ago (nodular non toxic).. now i expirience some of the symptoms of hypothyroid.. my doctor said that my tsh-ft3-ft4 is normal, but my my right lobe is sligthly swell but no need to make medications as hte doctor said. My question is how to prevent my thyroid for having a nodule again?
