amitriptyline
okay just had my tsh levels tested haven't gotten the results. but i personally think i might have a thyroid disorder. i was recently prescribed to amitriptyline. an anti-depressant, but i was prescribed for sleeping. now is it safe to take with a thyroid disorder such as hyperthyroidism? i'm not sure i have this but have a lot of the symptoms so was not sure as whether or not to take this medication until my blood tests come back.

I would wait, until your test results return.  I was prescribed all types of pysch meds, to treat undiagnosed symptoms, when it was my thyroid that caused all my symptoms.

But if you have been psychologically evaluated and confirmed you need the medication, then I would follow the doctors treatment.
